This is a REMOTE Opportunity
Responsibilities
• Participate in Vector’s FPGA team to develop hardware-based solutions to accelerate trading strategies in electronic markets around the world
• Work closely with other Vector Engineers to complete FPGA projects, from specification through production
• Build automated tests for single modules, groups of modules, and top modules
• Plan, architect, develop and use configurable, self-checking test benches implemented in SystemVerilog/UVM
• Develop constrained-random, metric-driven test plans, and strategies to verify FPGA projects.
• Draft, update and maintain verification documents
• Collect and analyze coverage metrics, then use that information to improve the effectiveness of test cases being used
• Create reusable Verification IP
• Create and maintain automated pipelines for enabling reliable CI/CD flow using company tools
• Participate in technical meetings and develop internal training materials
Qualifications
• 5+ years working with Verification (SystemVerilog/ UVM)
• Bachelor’s, Masters or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar field
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
• Strong experience in building test benches using: System-Verilog, UVM, C/C++
• Other programming skills (Python, Perl, TCL, etc.) are highly appreciated.
• Familiarity with hardware verification automated techniques
• Experience in finding errors in code and great debugging skills
• Comfort working within a collaborative, team-oriented fast-changing environment which fosters free-flowing creativity
• Strong work ethic and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
• Motivated, dependable, and a responsible team player
• Excellent verbal and written (English) communication skills
• FPGA related experience will be a plus
• Understanding of network and typical networking protocols is a plus
• Understanding of computer design and operating systems is a plus
